As an active part of my childhood,the Danube river has created a multi-layered image of itself in my mind. Image that is a consequence of a sense of place, not the place itself. This image emerged as a result of my grandfather's stories and time spent wandering with him through the vastness of the Danube banks, islands and waters.  
Through these series of shots and studies, I seek a visual expression of that memory. I shall be describing them more in-depth in the next paragraphs.
